Goodwill provides education, training and career services for people disadvantaged by welfare dependency, homelessness, lack of education and disability. It is Goodwill's mission to enhance the quality and dignity of life for individuals, families, and communities on by providing self-help and work opportunities. Otabo helped to provide opportunities in South Florida through a Goodwill donation of hiking boots, distributed and sold by beneficiaries of Goodwill.
Last year, local Goodwills collectively provided employment and training services to more than 846,000 individuals. For more information, please visit www.goodwill.org.
In hopes of helping men in need enter or re-enter the workforce, Otabo Custom Shoes has donated over $23,000 worth of dress shoes to Positive Images of South Florida, a non-profit organization that assists Broward and Palm Beach men and women in transition by providing them with job readiness workshops, professional clothing for job interviews, and other support systems as they enter the workforce.
This past holiday season, H.W. Rosenblum, our Partner Retailer in the New Orleans area, made a request for Otabo Custom Shoes to make a contribution to his community. We responded with a $57,600 donation of shoes to the Urban League of Greater New Orleans for Hurricane Katrina victims who lost their possessions during the disaster.

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, which often results in paralysis, loss of vision, and lifelong damage. The National MS Society is dedicated to ending the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. As a Heroes of 2006 winner, Otabo contributed to Boca Raton magazine's 2006 Best of Boca & Beyond tribute. All proceeds from event benefits the National MS Society.
